Investigate and identify the source of abnormalities in the reading of the Vibrating Wire Piezometers causing an inaccurate and unreliable pore water pressure measurements.
Following a 2014 fire at Hazelwood Coal Mine, a pit lake is proposed to enhance safety and stability. Geotesta has installed extensometers and an upgraded GNSS system to monitor ground movement and weather conditions, improving detection of potential risks.
Geotesta manages geotechnical instrumentation at Mount Whitestone, including piezometers, inclinometers, weather stations, and extensometers to monitor slope stability. A time-lapse CCTV camera is also installed. Data is transmitted through a customized data logger system.
At the Latrobe Valley Battery Energy Storage System site, near Hazelwood, Geotesta installed four settlement plates and two inclinometer casings to monitor ground movement and settlement. Monthly surveys will continue.
