Mount Whitestone is located in the Lockyer Valley Region of South-East Queensland, with its summit approximately 530 meters above sea level.

Geotesta has been involved in setting up and maintaining a geotechnical instrumentation and remote monitoring system to track the stability of the slope in the area.

We assist the client with a comprehensive geotechnical instrumentation system that includes:

• A series of Vibrating Wire Piezometers for monitoring groundwater levels
• Biaxial In-Place Inclinometers for tracking ground deformation
• Weather Stations for measuring rainfall intensity
• Extensometers for monitoring slope movement

Additionally, a time-lapse CCTV camera has been installed to capture images of the slope and the adjoining road.

All monitoring data is captured and transmitted using a customized data logger system.
